More About Board Duties
The Board of Directors meets once every month. The meetings are in the evenings and typically last 1-2 hours. Board members also assist in procuring guest speakers, running chapter events, and managing all administrative tasks of the chapter (budgeting, membership, recruiting, web management, CPE and attendance records, etc.) As a Board member, you will not be required to help at every event or with every project, but you will be expected to help with some events and will be assigned other duties to help manage the chapter.
Your time commitment may range from less than one hour per week on average, up to several hours per week for the more time-intensive duties. All directors and officers are expected to fulfill their commitments to the ACFE Arizona Chapter in a professional and timely manner throughout the entire year (we do not close down the chapter during "busy season.")
In return, active Board members pay no chapter dues and have the opportunity to attend local and national training events for free. Serving on the Board is a wonderful way to network and to give back to the profession.
You are encouraged to contact any of the current officers or directors for more information about the Board in general or the position you are considering:
