Program Description

This course is designed to assist fraud investigators more effectively investigate Vulnerable Adult Exploitation cases. Case examples will be used throughout this presentation.

Learning Objectives

After completing this course, participants will be able to successfully:

  1. Define Vulnerable Adult, Exploitation, Theft, and Fraud Schemes
  2. Identify red flags of vulnerable adult exploitation
  3. Review bank accounts and identify possible exploitation
  4. Apply new techniques to interviewing victims of vulnerable adult exploitation
  5. Write and develop a thorough summary of findings

Presenter Information

Jennifer grew up in Colorado, but in late 2017 she moved to Arizona to escape the cold weather and experience new adventures. 

She has a Master’s Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She is a seasoned fraud investigator and a recognized Subject Matter Expert in vulnerable adult/ elder exploitation. She has been in law enforcement for 15 years. For the last 6 years, she has conducted criminal investigations of complex financial crimes, to include forgery, money laundering, identity theft, and vulnerable adult/ elder exploitation.

She enjoys financial crimes investigations, as these cases are complex puzzles that require problem-solving skills, and she has a passion to help those that cannot help themselves, particularly the elderly.

She recently created a fraud consulting business (Voice Against Fraud, LLC) in hopes of empowering people to fight against vulnerable adult/elder exploitation.
