To be eligible for a refund, cancellations must be received by the 3rd business day prior to the meeting (for example, by Thursday at 5 pm before a Tuesday meeting). Presenter Information

Vanessa Templeman, Deputy Inspector General, Office of Inspector General of AHCCCS.  As the Deputy Inspector General, Vanessa Templeman manages a team of investigators charged with the responsibility for conducting criminal investigations and investigative audits for all AHCCCS programs involving state and/or federal tax dollars. OIG works closely with Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies in the detection, investigation and prosecution of any provider, subcontractor, member, employee or any person involved in fraudulent activity of the program. In addition to criminal investigation, OIG also issues and collects civil monetary penalties in accordance with Federal and State statutes, rules and regulations.  OIG oversees program integrity responsibilities for both Title XIX and Non-Title XIX programs.  Of special note is the Pharmacy Fraud Investigative Team within OIG dedicated to several aspects of drug and pharmacy diversion tactics, investigations and audits.

Scott Weinberg is the Forensic Accounting Manager for the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) where he investigates fraud, waste and abuse within the Arizona Medicaid system. Scott has been a CPA for 16 years and a Certified Fraud Examiner for 11. Prior to joining AHCCCS in early 2015, Scott worked for the FBI, a major public accounting firm and a Fortune 500 company. He currently resides in Ahwatukee with his wife, two human children, and two cats.

NASBA Statement: Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Arizona Chapter is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have the final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
