Cost: $50 for current chapter members (and Southern Arizona Chapter members); $75 all others.

Registration Information: Pre-registration is required for all attendees for this event. Registration is open through Friday, December 7, 2018 or until all seats are filled. Register online at You may pay your admission fee with a credit card online at the time of registration. Alternately, cash and checks only are accepted at the door.

Refund Policy: Email to cancel. To be eligible for a refund, cancellations must be received by the 3rd business day prior to the meeting (for example, by Thursday at 5 pm before a Tuesday meeting). Credit card payments will be refunded to the credit card. Cash or check payments will be refunded by check.

The Arizona Chapter is so excited to be teaming up with the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) this holiday season. DDD serves families that may have trouble making ends meet financially as they support loved ones with a disability. To make a difference in the community, the Chapter has chosen to sponsor a DDD member and their family. Please consider helping us keep the true spirit of Christmas and spread the joy this holiday season.

Presenter Information

Monica Klapper

Klapper received her law degree in 1991 from Arizona State University. She started her career with the Attorney General’s office in 1992, practiced private law from 1995-1999 when she returned to the Attorney General’s criminal Division. Monica Klapper is currently the Financial Crimes and Public Integrity Section Chief for the Arizona District.

Kathleen Neri

Kathleen Neri has been a Special Agent with IRS Criminal Investigation since 2009.   Prior to joining the IRS-CI, Kathleen was the manager of Eide Bailly LLP Forensic Accounting and Investigative Services division in Phoenix.  Her experience includes reconciling financial records, tracing funds, investigating fraud and money laundering schemes and determining the financial loss incurred by organizations or the government. Kathleen is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI).  She also previously served on our local CFE chapter board as a Director and Treasurer.

Alan Korwin

Alan Korwin, author of six books and co-author of eight others, is a full-time freelance writer, consultant and entrepreneur with a thirty-year track record. He is a founder and two-term past president of the Arizona Book Publishing Association, which has presented him with its Visionary Leadership award, named in his honor, the Korwin Award. He has received two national awards for publicity work as a member of the Society for Technical Communication, is a past board member of the Arizona chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, and has been active with the speaker’s bureau for the Wash., D.C.-based news-media watchdog, Accuracy In Media.

Mr. Korwin wrote the business plan that raised $5 million in venture capital and launched the in-flight catalog SkyMall; he did the publicity for Pulitzer Prize cartoonist Steve Benson’s fourth book; working with American Express, he wrote the executive-level strategic plan that defined their worldwide telecommunications strategy for the 1990s; and he had a hand in developing ASPED, Arizona’s economic strategic plan. Korwin’s writing appears often in a wide spectrum of local and national publications.

Alan is a veteran of more than 1,500 radio, TV and personal appearances including with the speaker’s bureau for Wash., D.C.-based Accuracy In Media.

Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Arizona Chapter is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.
