Topic: Procurement Fraud

Speaker: Scott Weinberg, AZ Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS)

Agenda: Sign-in begins at 11:30 am; presentation from 12:00 – 1:00 pm

Location: Industrial Commission of Arizona, 800 W. Washington, 1st Floor Auditorium

Parking: Free, on the top level of the garage just west of the building

Cost: Free for current chapter members; $20 all others.

To be eligible for a refund, cancellations must be received by the 3rd business day prior to the meeting (for example, by Thursday at 5 pm before a Tuesday meeting). Program Description

AHCCCS Forensic Accounting Manager, Scott Weinberg will present a case study on a substantial procurement fraud against the State of Arizona by a former employee

Presenter Information

Scott Weinberg is the Forensic Accounting Manager for the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) where he investigates fraud, waste and abuse within the Arizona Medicaid system. Scott has been a CPA for 15 years and a Certified Fraud Examiner for 10. Prior to joining AHCCCS in early 2015, Scott worked for the FBI, a major public accounting firm and a Fortune 500 company. He currently resides in Ahwatukee with his beautiful wife and two wonderful children.
